Estaraht Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of Estaraht’s website and mobile application (collectively known as the “Site”), and constitute a legally binding agreement made between you and Estaraht.

By accessing or using the Site, you agree that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with all of these Terms and Conditions

1. Using Estaraht

The Site is intended for users who are at least 18 years of age.

In the event that a minor wants to access the Site, they may do so only after obtaining explicit parental consent.

2. About Estaraht

The Site offers the following services only:

- Therapy sessions conducted by vetted mental health specialists, through one of the following means: chat, voice, or video
- Self-assessment tests to help you understand your psychological needs
- Daily content that is meant to educate and/or calm your mind

The purpose of this Site is only to offer online help for mental health. It is not meant to replace a psychiatric hospital, and will not provide prescriptions for any psychiatric medications.

3. Registration and Payment

Some – but not all – of the Site’s services can be accessed without a registered account.

Sessions with the Site’s mental health professionals require a registered account and prepayment through one of the electronic payment methods that the Site uses. You will see the full payment amount before you proceed with the transaction.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

You reserve the right to cancel your sessions at your own discretion. However, depending on when you cancel, you may not always be eligible for a full refund.

Cancelling your session more than 12 hours before it was due to start makes you eligible for a full refund. Cancelling any time between 3-12 hours before the session was due to start makes you eligible for a 70% refund. Cancelling less than 3 hours before the session was due to start makes you eligible for a 50% refund.

If you, the user, neither cancel a session nor show up for it, we will deduct 25% of the amount. The rest will be returned to your wallet automatically. Unused sessions will automatically be canceled after 30 days.

5. Code of Conduct

By using or accessing the Site, you agree to follow the below-mentioned code of conduct:

- As a mental health professional, you will treat users with respect and uphold the integrity of their privacy by not sharing any confidential information.
- Users and specialists will not use the Site for any inappropriate or illegal purpose, and will not behave in an aggressive or threatening manner toward anyone.

If any user or mental health specialist is found to be abusing the code of conduct, we reserve the right to block, permanently ban, and/or take legal action against them.

6. Intellectual Property

All material on the Site is owned, controlled by, and is licensed to Estaraht. No part of the Site may be copied, modified, republished, transmitted, publicly displayed, or distributed in any way for commercial use without the explicit permission of Estaraht.

7. Modification of Terms

Any part of these Terms and Conditions may be modified by us at any time. In the event that happens, users will be notified of the changes. The date at the top of this page will also indicate when the terms were last modified. By continuing to access or use the Site after modification, you implicitly agree to the updated Terms and Conditions.

8. Applicable Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the States in which the Site is registered, namely the State of Mauritania and the State of the United Kingdom.
